These Come From Trees and New Roads

Ben from New Roads School took us up on our offer about complimentary These Come From Trees stickers for educational institutions.

All we asked in exchange was that he clear it with his facilities department, and that he send us some pictures when he had them up.

Well, the first pictures showed up today, and I'm happy to say this is the first time I've seen a TCFT sticker up in a chemistry lab!

Right on Ben!

Does anybody know about this site ( http://www.earthlab.com ) ? I have seen other environmental sites with carbon calculators like yahoo and tree huggers, but I am wondering what the deal with earthlab.com is? I saw they also published a list last month of the top ten greenest cities ( http://www.efficientenergy.org/Top-Ten-Green-Cities-in-the-United-States ). Does anyone know if this site is better than the others? Fill me in!

I took their carbon foot print test and it was pretty interesting, they said that I put out 4.5 tons of carbon, does anyone know about any other tests?

Very interesting concept. Save more Trees, Buy more Trees and Plant more Trees. Environmentalists and tree lovers can do well with more concepts like these.

I saw your sticker at a friend's coffee shop, and I think it's a great idea. I have a question about your free stickers for educational institutions offer. I don't work at a school, but I do work at a homeless shelter, which as a nonprofit is on a tight budget. We have realized that we don't do a great job of taking care of our environment are starting a project to help our staff and clients understand their environmental impact. We would love some stickers, even at a reduced rate, to put up in our restrooms, napkin dispensers, etc. You can email me at kpriddy@nstreetvillage.org. Thanks!

This sounds great! I have a job with my college's office of sustainability, what do I need to do to help us get on board? Do we just need to buy your stickers?

You are so right! Just reminding people about where papertowels, toilet paper and regular paper come from helps reduce usage. I have to get one of these for a friend of mine who can go through an entire roll of paper towels cooking one meal. I use a roll once every three or four months.

I work for a medical facility and would like to purchase well over 200 stickers. How can I purchase a large volume without haveing to purchase multiple packs of 200 stickers. I don't want to input my payment information multiple times. Can you please advise? My email address is staim@pamf.org.
Thank you!

I am a teacher in Chattanooga, TN. I plan on buying a roll of your stickers for our school and for our Earth Club students to take into the community. First, I would like to say "Thanks" for giving me an opportunity to show my students about activism in a fairly benign setting. I do have a question about your research. I think I read all of the blogs on the site and I remember you mentioning that your research deserved its own discussion. Did I miss that one? I am asking because as a science teacher I would like to give my students a specific reference to where the 15% reduction came from. Could you send me a link to that specific page or address it here in detail? The scientist in me just needs the details. Keep up the good work. forestmom2@comcast.net
